FORD. LINCOLN AND MERCURY CARS/TRUCKS EQUIPPED WITH SECURILOCK.

If you were taken here via the links then your car is equipped with a factory installed anti-theft device called SECURILOCK.  This page should pretty much describe everything that you need to know.  If after reading it you still need some information then just send me an e-mail and I will do my best to help you.  If you were directed here by anybody other than ebay user "Go-Audio" or yahoo user "cunoodle2@yahoo.com" please send me an e-mail.  It took me quite a bit of time to put all of this together and it wouldn't be fair for someone to just take it from me.

How it works:  When the key is inserted into the lock cylinder and turned to the on position, a sensor within the lock cylinder will transmit a signal to the key and the key will transmit back to an antenna (located within the lock cylinder) a code.  This code will be sent to the anti-theft module located underneath the steering column.  This code will then be verified by the module and recorded into memory.  When the engine is started by the key, the Power train Control Module will communicate with the Securilock module.  If the correct code from the key was received, then the engine will continue run.  If no code or any incorrect code was processed, then the Power train Control Module will shut off fuel and spark to the engine.  There are over 4 trillion different codes stored in this key and each time that the key inserted it emits a different code.  Basically what the needed part here does is trick the car into thinking that the key is actually in the car when in fact it is not.

How to bypass it:  In order to properly interface this or any remote start system with this car you will need to bypass this while the unit is in "remote start mode."  In order to bypass this you will need a Securilock bypass module.  PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS DOES NOT MAKE YOUR CAR ANY EASIER TO STEAL NOR DOES IT DECREASE THE LEVEL OF SECURITY THAT THIS ADVANCED KEY PROVIDES.  If you do not bypass this the remote start will NOT work properly.  Also please note that needing this part has nothing to do with the brand of remote start that you are purchasing as ALL BRANDS OF REMOTE STARTS INSTALLED IN THIS CAR WILL NEED TO BYPASS THIS PATS MODULE.  This unit is available direct from me for only $29.  This is by far the cheapest that you will find any where.  The only kit that Best Buy sells to bypass this costs $50.  There will be a place on you final order form where you can select this part.  You will want to select the "555S FORD 'securilock' bypass $29" part.  BE CERTAIN TO SELECT THE 555"s" AND NOT THE 555"f" AS THEY ARE TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT MODELS.  The "f" model will not work on your car.  As always if you have any general questions or specifics about a certain car please e-mail me.
