pass lock 3 and other universal transponders

Installation of a remote start in this car will require a $26 part AND a spare copy of your key.  More information will be posted on this page over the next few days.  Please check back periodically or just send me an e-mail and I will explain exactly what you need for your car.  In the e-mail please state what the year, make and model of the car is.  That way your question can most effectively be answered.  Thanks again for stopping by.  I greatly appreciate your business.

Here is what I can tell you about this needed part. There is a small chip in the ignition key called a transponder. When the key is inserted into the ignition switch it sends a code to the vehicles computer through a receiver coil mounted to the barrel. Once the computer has identified it as a valid key, it enables the starter and fuel management systems. Basically what this part does is "trick" the car into thinking that the key is actually in the ignition when in fact it is not. This $26 part is hidden underneath your dash with one of your keys on the inside of the box. You hide the box well so that no one can find it. If you are worried about someone finding it you can simply cut the key before you put it in there to hide it.
